Douglas County Ski Day a Success!

on February 11, almost 30 people participated in the first annual Douglas County Ski Day at Diamond Lake Recreation Area. The majority of participants were brand new or nearly new cross country skiers who wanted to have a friendly introduction to the sport. More experienced skiers ventured off-piste to learn backcountry ski and safety skills.

The Edelweiss Ski Club intends to make this an annual event. Keep an eye out for more information about the Douglas County Ski Day 2007!
